Lending money is all about risk. If your credit history is less than perfect and your obligations are so close to your income, then you may be offered a home loan @ a higher interest rate than you have seen advertised. Advertised rates are usually based on what rate the lender is willing to finance a home for a Home buyer with perfect credit.
These are pretty basic, but thought they could be a good reminder as you shop for a mortgage for that New Salt Lake Home.
