Few homes for sale by owner, (FSBOs) are included in this report as most are not listed on the Salt Lake MLS.
Likewise, New Construction, (New Homes and Condominiums) For Sale in Salt Lake, are not totally included as most builders sell their new houses & Condos from model homes, using their own representatives.

Downtown Salt Lake City Homes For Sale:
There are currently 7,459 homes, condos, twin homes, & town homes listed for sale in the Salt Lake Metroplex, which makes up Salt Lake City and the surrounding cities and towns. Of those listings, 2,201, are located in Downtown Salt Lake or those neighborhoods still considered to be part of SLC. IE: Sugar House, The Avenues, Federal Heights, The Marmalade District, 9th & 9th, University Heights, etc.
Prices range from $60,000 to over $7 million dollars, with an average price of about $315,000.
That is almost 30% of all of the homes listed for sale on the MLS in Salt Lake City Utah.
In April, 267 homes were sold in Salt Lake City Utah. (29%)
Forty five of those sales were Downtown Salt Lake Condos. That represents about 16.85 % of all Sales in Salt Lake last month were Condominiums, Town Homes, or Twin Homes.
Of the 2201 Downtown Salt Lake City homes listed For Sale, 15.6% are listed as short sales.
Salt Lake Homes For Sale That Sold In April:
Of the 267 homes that sold in Downtown Salt Lake City last month, the average price was $238,269 dollars.
Thats 88% of the asking price of Salt Lake City Homes for Sale, up 3% from last years 85%.
Price per Sqft of listed homes was $120.23; down $1.09 from last years $121.32.
Salt Lake sold "listings" in April had been on the market about 12 fewer days than last years 126 DOM.
