Salt Lake Homes Sold Last 30 Days:
During the month of February, 2010, 487 homes were sold in Salt Lake County.
That is 110 homes or condos less than were sold in Salt Lake during the same time period a year ago.

This is a near 35% decrease in housing sales over the last 24 month period.
Nearly 48% of the homes sold in Salt Lake County Utah last month were between $150,000 and $250,000.
Less than 10% of the single family houses, condos, and town homes sold in the county, were more than $450,000.
Average days on market increased only 5 days from January, but almost 27% from two years ago.
The average size of house sold has increased about 300 sq ft. since 2008, but is accounted for by the fact that the average home sold this year was a 4 bedroom 3 bath rather than the 4 bedroom 2 bath that represented the average in 2008.

In February 2010 the average price of a home or condo sold around Salt Lake City was about $251,000 dollars.
That was nearly $15,000 less than January.
Average price was almost $13,000 less than a year ago.
In the last 2 years, the average price of a home in Salt Lake County has gone down almost 7%.
The price per square foot has decreased in the last 2 years from $119.00 to $99.65.
The difference between listed price and the price homes sold for in February reached 22% the highest it has been since June of 2008.
