They are looking for good deals on that New Home or Condominium listed for sale in Salt Lake City.

Let me clear up some things that could be making buying a HUD Home much less complicated.

Many prospects want to know how to buy a pre foreclosure or short sale from HUD. Pre foreclosures and short sales are NOT purchased from HUD.

HUD; the real name is "Department of Housing and Urban Development" are selling homes around Utah and the Salt Lake Valley by virtue of FHA transferring title to foreclosed homes in Salt Lake City whose mortgage the Federal Housing Authority had guaranteed.

Simply put, Foreclosed Homes financed by FHA,  become property of HUD and are made available to the home buying public at a special type sale.

  • Generally, settlement will not be more than 60 days from acceptance.

  • It is important that financing for your home is arranged with a trustworthy lender prior to beginning the property search

  • During the initial time frame, only owner occupants may bid.
