Year 2008
That same house payment would finance a $221,338 home or condo in SLC @ 5.5% interest.
Year 2009
Interest rates @ 4.5% for 30 yrs. will finance a $247,825 home mortgage with the same payment.
On a new home, (because some builders are offering 4.5% ) it was suggested that Utah home buyers could qualify and buy 38% more home.
The concept is the same with previously owned homes, and there are ways to help you get those tremendous mortgage rates. You just need a Realtor that knows the business, and a loan officer that knows the mortgage business.
