These houses and Condominiums don''t represent all of the homes available, as Homes listed on the MLS usually do not include all of the New Homes For Sale, or Homes for sale by owner (FSBOs).
Salt Lake Homes For Sale Activity : Last 28 Days.
Salt Lake Listings:
There are 1721 Homes/Condominiums listed in Salt Lake
351 of these are Condos for sale in Salt Lake.
1370 are single family homes.
260 of these homes are either foreclosures or pre-foreclosures. (short sales).
Salt Lake Homes Sold:
In February 474 homes were sold in SLC.
Ninety one of those were Condos.
That's an increase of 33 units (7%) over January.
130 distressed houses were sold, IE: Bank Owned, REOs, Foreclosed Homes, HUD Homes, Short Sales.
In February, 194 distressed homes/ condo contracts were written.
Observations:
While the homes sold in Salt Lake increased from January to February, the median sales price went from $259,000 to $249,900. A decrease of $9000 Dollars per single family residence.
Likewise the median sq ft of homes declined by 128 sq-ft.
Median price per sq-ft however increased by $0.67.
The 91 condos sold in SLC represented almost 20% of all units sold.
The distressed homes for sale in Salt Lake were only 15% of the total housing inventory.
