MID-JORDAN TRAX LINE BRINGS SALT LAKE CLOSER
The Mid-Jordan trax line, a proposed 10.6 mile extension to the light rail connection between Salt Lake City and the Southern part of the Valley moved closer to reality recently.
The reason?
The announcement of a $428 million dollar federal funding agreement with the Federal Transit Administration to help finance the project.
Why do I care?
The Mid-Jordan Line will bring the neighborhoods of Murray, Midvale, West Jordan and South Jordan, including the thousands of homes in Daybreak, much closer and much more accessible to Salt Lake City.
It's been estimated that ridership from Daybreak to downtown Salt Lake City will be between 25 and 30,000 per day.
The big thing to consider though is a quality of life issue. Throughout the country, public transportation is transforming communities and jump starting developments. Housing and retail developments are springing up around stations and terminals, as residents are flocking to those areas.
West Jordan alone will have 6 stops and ambitious plans for shopping, working, and living accommodations are in the works. We'll continue to monitor them for our Investor clients, empty Nestor's, Single family home buyers and downsizing seniors.
Additional lines that enhance the efficiency of living around, and depending on Trax will be completed over the next few years. Can you imagine Frontrunner commuter trains connecting Salt Lake with Provo? How about Light rails in West Valley, Draper, and the Salt Lake International Airport?
It will be a great idea then. So..... You'd better look now.

We have no idea what part of the Trax system will effect your quality of life, but we do know that mid-Jordan Trax line will bring Salt lake City closer. Just a token away.
