Top Five Areas In Salt Lake To Buy A Condo !

We're listing the top five areas in Salt Lake to buy a condo by the number of Condominiums for sale and not necessarily attractive pricing or quality of construction or a number of other things that make up good "lists".

Were just going to let you know what areas around Salt Lake will offer the greatest selection of Condos for sale. Information to compile the list was provided by the Wasatch Front Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and is the same information your Realtor would use in helping you search for a home in SLC. We'll miss some homes for sale, as homes for sale by owner are not always listed. The same is true of New Construction. New Homes for sale are generally sold by builder agents from models, on site, and don't show up as listed. This practice is changing somewhat, as in these tougher times, builders are looking more towards local Realtors to help sell homes than in the past. Having said all that, if your looking to buy a condominium in the Salt Lake Valley, the 5 areas with the most condos for sale are.....Salt Lake City, Draper,UT, Sandy UT, West Jordan, and Murray UT.

  1. Salt Lake City. Of the over 2179 homes listed for sale, a whopping 651 are Condominiums. With Condos accounting for almost 29% of the available inventory in downtown Salt Lake, there is bound to be something for everyone. A mix of new and old, proximity to shopping, dining, and entertainment as well as transportation makes downtown Salt Lake City the #1 choice when looking to buy a condominium.
  2. Draper. Over 17% of Drapers 617 homes for sale are condominiums. Most are new, built during the recent boom in the south end of Salt Lake Valley. Shopping is good, but transportation can be nerve wracking during the busy freeway hours. Selection is good with prices ranging from the low $100s to over half a million dollars. Examples are the two-story Town homes by Hamlet Homes @ Stoneleigh Heights, starting at $179,900 for 1882sqft, or the Bella Monte in Draper Meadows that start at $159,000.
  3. Sandy UT. The mixture of new with more mature condos makes Sandy fertile ground for condo shopping. There are 101 Condominiums for sale in Sandy, with prices and styles for all pocketbooks and tastes. Shopping is exceptional with the South town Mall providing a hub for a variety of retail and dining experience.
  4. West Jordan. Condominiums in West Jordan make up about 14% of the homes for sale. Selection by price as well as age is varied, similar to the selection of single family homes for sale. The new Trax line, scheduled to bisect the heart of W. Jordan will provide a wonderful commuting alternative an enhance shopping accessibility.
  5. Murray Utah. Real Estate pros agree that next to downtown Salt Lake City, the most exciting place to look to buy a condo would be in Murray. 33% of all the homes for sale in Murray are Condominiums. Walkable mixed use projects like Hamlet Homes Inverness Square, Waverly Station, and Birkhill at Fireclay represent the re-emergence of urban ism along the Wasatch Front. Shopping for a condominium in Murray Ut can be a life changing experience.  Prices and styles vary but once again as with other more mature Salt Lake areas condos can be found in almost all price ranges.
