West Jordan Salutes Fallen Heroes !!
Plan to be near the Military Service Monument at West Jordan's Veterans Memorial Park Monday afternoon at around 2:30.
Volunteers of our community, led by Darin Jones, a West Jordan resident and former NCO, have planned a marvelous ceremony that will pay tribute Monday to our fallen heroes and honor their sacrifice in solemn patriotic style.
The families of 4 West Jordan soldiers lost this last year will be honored.
In honor of the sacrifices made on our behalf by residents of our city, the 96th Regional Readiness Command of Salt Lake City, will present a military ceremony that will include a 21 gun salute, a flag- draped horse-drawn casket and a roll call of the names of fallen soldiers from West Jordan.
Permission has been granted by the Pentagon for the city to conduct a "missing man" formation helicopter flyover at about 3:00.

As NCO Jones reminded us, "It's about all of the fallen service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be here and enjoy the freedoms of the best country in the world".
