NEW,Home Sales in Riverton,Ut...1/20/08
The new stats for home sales in Riverton Ut. last week are in and they pretty much reflect the Real Estate market in the south end of the Salt Lake Valley. The exception to that is the number of very expensive homes coming on the market. New listing values far exceed the average amount home buyers have been paying in this area.
The information that makes up this report is provided by the Wasatch Front Regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Commentary is my own opinion. The numbers provide by the MLS may not include New Homes, or Homes for sale by owner(FSBOs) as all of these are not listed properties. For purposes of this information, homes mean any single family residence, IE: condo, town home, or unit w/in a P.U.D.
Riverton, Ut Home Sales Info: 1/14 thru 1/20/08
Current Listings: There are currently 300 homes listed in Riverton Ut. Nineteen of these houses are either bank owned, facing short sale or foreclosure, or require third party approval before a sale can take place.
Homes Closed: Last week,5 homes closed. Two of these were for more than $500,00.
New Contracts Written: Over the last seven days, contracts have been written on 7 homes in the area. Prices ranged from $200,000 to $700,000 dollars. One of these homes @ $565,000 was a short sale. Seventy per cent of the houses were between 200 and 250 thousand dollars.
New Home Listings: Thirty homes were listed last week. While only one was a short sale, the price of homes coming to the market suggest that we will see an increase in distressed sales in the near future. Only 4 of the new listings were priced under $250,000. Fifty per cent of these new houses listed were priced over $450,000. Almost 27% are priced above $600,000. If your a buyer in this price range, start looking NOW!!!
