South Jordan homes for sale & homes sales activities for last last week are in. Real Estate in the Salt Lake Valley is not real great, but we see improvement and it's certainly much better than in many other areas of the country.

Home sales in these reports means any residence so they would include condos, town-homes, P.U.Ds. and in some cases even Mobil homes on a foundation. New homes or new condominiums are NOT included as New construction houses rarely are listed on the MLS.
South Jordan Home Sales Info: 1/14 thru 1/20/08
Current Listings: Five hundred thirty two homes are listed in South Jordan. Prices range from the low $400 thousands to over three quarters of a million dollars.
Homes Closed: Three South Jordan homes closed last week. One was Bank owned @ almost $450 thousand dollars. The other 2 closed in mid $200s. These houses were in process for at least 45 days.
New Contracts Written: Eleven contracts were written over the last 7 days, averaging $333 thousand. Over 50% of the homes contracted were less than $270,000. Only 1 was Bank owned, or shorted..
New Home Listings: Of the 44 houses listed across the MLS only 1 was a short sale. The disturbing number in So.Jordan is that the average value of homes newly listed is almost $100,000 over the ave. value of the new contracts. Only 40% of the listings are priced at less than what contracts were written for last week in South Jordan.
