S.W.Salt Lake Home Sales... Last Week
Home sales for the week ending 11/25/07 in the South West corner of the Salt Lake Valley remained real flat last week. That area is made up of the cities of West Jordan, South Jordan, Herriman, And Riverton.
We don't expect much to be happening this time of year, so there are no surprises. In the off chance your getting ready to make some sort of Real Estate move and need the latest information, we hope these current stats will be helpful.
All the numbers listed here are supplied by the Wasatch Front Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and reflect their weekly report on home sales. Any commentary is mine, it's free, and thats about what it's worth.
Salt Lake Homes Closed: 13
Ten of the thirteen homes sold were less than $300 thousand, and were on the market 55 days.
Salt Lake Homes Listed: 102
Forty four % of the new listings were under $300 thousand. Eight % over$600 thousand.
Houses Under Contract: 32
Twenty three of thirty two houses were under $300 thousand, 4 over $450 thousand.D.O.M. 53 days.
House Listings Expired: 85
Fifty five % of the expired houses are over the $300 thousand mark, and over 109 days on market.
We expect that for the balance of the year most of the activity will be in the area of new, home/condo listings, and listed homes that expire. Look at the expired's to come back on the market (be re-listed) at a lower price. That's where bargains are found in this buyers market.
