Salt Lake Valley Weekly Home Sales
When I was blogging about new home sales in the Salt Lake Valley last week, one number that was quoted in the newspaper article bothered me. That number was the most recent months activity. The article quoted an average for the quarter, but it was obvious that when the most recent months sales were so much less than the average, you were not presented the most accurate picture of what the market is doing RIGHT NOW. And thats really what were interested in right? Whats the Real Estate market doing RIGHT NOW!!!
So while we wait for the Wasatch Front Multiple Listing Service to publish the third quarter sold statistics for the Salt Lake Valley, I thought I'd give you some information about specific areas that you could really use. What happened in your area last week.
Total Inventory by area....How many Houses or Condos are currently listed.
New listings on market....Homes or Condos listed during the last week.
Contracts written.............How many units were sold (not closed) last week.
Single Family Home or Condo.
If your a seller, this will tell you a lot, and give you talking points for your agent. If you are a buyer, it could give you bargaining points with the seller. Any way you look at it, it's information you can use.
