RED HATS & BIKERS AT IT AGAIN !!

West Jordan is throwing a real big party this weekend.  They call it the FIRST WEST JORDAN DAYS.

Friday & Saturday, Veterans Memorial Park will be full of  family fun, food, activities, movies, games, and just  plain old fashioned good times.

The shindig is to celebrate a population milestone of 100,000 people in the area and represents a lot of homes and condominiums sold.  It's supposed to tell the world that W. Jordan is a "Big City".

What I believe makes this a "Big City" though has nothing to do with population or houses, or condos, but with citizens who donate time volunteering to raise money for charities like the Children's Justice Center.

On Saturday, as part of West Jordan days a Children Justice Center's 5-K and a Teddy Bear 1-K fundraising run will be held @ 8:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park.  Organized and assisted by the Bikers against Child abuse in conjunction with the ladies from the Red Hat Society.  If this unlikely collaboration doesn't cause you to dig deep to benefit a very worthwhile cause nothing will.  Think about it, a Red Hat Lady on the back of a Harley.( That's "Big City" Entertainment)

It takes a real "Big City" to get the Red Hats and Bikers  together to help the least among us. Our Kids!!!

Come on out, enjoy the food, the softball games, the food, the movie, the food, the entertainment, and the food.

Dig deep, it's for a good cause and shows West Jordan is a "Big City". And oh yes, don't forget the food.
