Utah Gets Part Of Home Sellers Profit...Not !!!
Chris Sloan is our In House Broker in Tooele, and over the last few years has taken a lot of grief about spending so much time "up on the hill " as our Legislative Representative. ( when he should have been out selling homes. ) He was always asking us to increase our contribution, get involved, and to help those that invested the time to know what was going on that could effect the Real Estate Industry "fight the good fight"on our behalf.
It has rarely been clear what that fight meant and only the issue of Banks expanding their menu of services into the business of buying and selling Homes and Condos caught our attention. So far our representatives have thwarted the efforts of the powerful Banking Industry. Good for you guys!!!
Last week however, Chris posted some comments that need to be passed on. It effects you and the profit earned by thousands of Utah Home Sellers during this great Real Estate market.
In short, the State of Utah wants to initiate a fee that will allow the state to take a large part of that profit. They have an eye on your money and you know what thats like. Were in for a fight, and It's real important to all of us.
