Is this the House with the pink kitchen, or the Condo with no stove?
Ever forget which one of those great homes had the fireplace you just loved? Couldn't remember which house featured the chandelier that you wanted to make sure was included in the offer? How about remembering room sizes and critical outlet placement.? Believe me it's more than a little embarrassing as the Real Estate Agent to make another trip to the home to make sure that the buyers & I are talking about the same house.
My twelve year old grandaughter heard me talking to a client last week, comparing our notes, taxing our memories ; basically trying to eliminate those properties we didn't want to see a second time. I noticed my eavesdropper shaking her head and rolling her eyes as the buyer and I struggled to reconcile features, with price and location with school districts.
When it was over and we were in concert, I asked my twelve year old what was so funny? It's not funny she said , it's just that there is a better way. Both of you have cell phones, and you always have them, why dont you guys just take pictures as you go through the houses and take pictures of the things you both think you want to remember, make messages to yourself and then instead of comparing notes, you can compare pictures.? Besides Nonnie you'll look a lot cooler. You'll look like a Techie.!
It was wonderful advice made special because of where it came from. It was also special because she was paying attention to me for something other than needing a ride.
Next time your out looking at homes with or without your agent, get out that cell-phone, take those pictures. After all even a twelve year old knows a picture is worth a thousand words.
