Size Matter In West Jordan ? What Does ?

I was looking for my Real Estate Ad in the West Jordan issue of the Valley Journal when I noticed the article about the disagreement between the U.S. Census bureau and the city regarding whether there are enough people living here[ 100,000 ] to qualify as a First Class City.   I thought, so what?   Who cares how many homes are built and how many people live in those houses ?   Really, isn't it all about being a great place to live.?   Isn't it about providing for your own personal needs throughout the various stages of your life?

What about my stages,  are they different ?  how have they changed ?  When I first moved to the south end of the Salt Lake valley I overlooked the lack of transportation, for more modest home prices, and an outstanding school system.   Later on I stayed because employment opportunities had moved south, along with shopping and services.   Lately I have been thinking of the next phase of my life. I don't want to give anything away but now I'm thinking of health care, & senior services.   [I guess that does give some things away ]

Health care and Senior services  are a part of my thought processes now.   I was excited about the new $46 million dollar expansion at the Jordan Valley Hospital.   The hospital will add 3 floors and 95 new beds, nearly 97000 sq. ft. of inpatient rehab space, provide new operating suites, and enlarge the emergency and maternity units.  [I wont need that one].   I know it's not just for me, the hospital also services South Jordan , Riverton, Herriman, Taylorsville and other communities in the South Salt Lake Valley.  How about the West Jordan Senior Center, an active and exciting social setting where for a $2.00 donation I can have lunch every day after my weight loss program and just before my AARP drivers safety classes.   [not that I need them].   Parties, classes, dances and volunteer opportunities;   maybe my next 50 years will be better than my last-- years.

What it all means is if your buying in West Jordan, it's a great place to live.   If your selling your home youv'e got something worth selling.   If your just staying put.  [like me] It's a wonderful place to be.
